STEVE
EPTING
Steve Epting was born in October 1963, in Greene County Ohio, and has yet to share about his adolescent life up until he found out about a contest that would change his life. In 1989, Epting read about a contest being conducted by First Comics, with winner's art being published by the company. Unfortunately this contest did not exist, but Epting eventually began working for the company creating art for characters such as Nexus and Hammer of God. First Comics eventually went out of business and sought out work elsewhere. Epting's favorite style and most loved style is penciling and some of his greatest works were created with penciling.
Steve Epting made his big debut into comics in the 1990s working as an artist for Marvel comics, and has since then gathered a huge fan base with his glorious fifty issue run drawing for The Avengers. He has also contributed to the art for the The X-Men, as well Superman and Aquaman for DC Comics. Due to his popularity as such a great artist he decided to branch out and create a new and original series titled El Cazador. This series received so much praise that it was nominated for an Eisner Award in 2004, which is one the highest honors any comic could receive. The Eisner Award is as big as the Oscars and although, Epting did not win just receiving an nomination was a big deal. Since his branching off Epting has worked on the award winning Captain America and The Marvels Project. He has also contributed to Marvel's success of The Fantastic Four and New Avengers. One of his more recent accomplishments include his collaboration with co-creating the Winter Solider, in the smash hit movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Epting has helped create some of the most influential characters in the superhero world and we as an audience have only a fake competition to thank for it. If it wasn't for his strokes of genius and ways with his pencils, these works of art would never exist
